Cost of Dental Implants
Dental implant treatment is the most sought-after way of replacing missing teeth; implants are comfortable, permanent, natural-looking and unlike dentures, they do feel as if they were your own teeth. To provide such a high level of comfort, a prosthodontist needs considerable expertise, careful preparation, precise work and special material of an exceptionally high quality. These are all included in your dental implant bill, which, at first glance, might be a bit surprising; but if you take into consideration the benefits of dental implants as well as the comfort and freedom they give you, you will reach the conclusion that the price is fair and honest.

The process of preparation
You should be aware of the fact that the costs of your dental implant treatment are influenced by a variety of factors. Being a complex procedure, dental implant placement is made up of several elements and stages of work, which add up to the final price. First, the fee includes all the necessary pre- and post-procedure consultations and the use of diagnostic tools (such as X-ray or CAT scan) in order to assess the general condition and bone density of your upper and lower jaws. With the help of this, your prosthodontist will determine whether you have sufficient bone to support the implants. If he or she finds that you have bone loss in your jaws, then a bone and/or gum restoration procedure is the first step to prepare you for applying the implants. This, of course, increases not only the length of the treatment but also your costs. As we need professional diagnosis to determine whether or not you need bone and gum grafting, we can provide an accurate quotation only after a careful examination. However, you can get a close estimate by completing our Request a Quote form.
Implant placement
Once your gums and jaws are ready for placing dental implants, the next element influencing the price is the implants themselves and the dentist's fee for placing them, not forgetting the fee of the anaesthesiologist. Different fees will be charged for subperiosteal and endosteal (root form) implants. In order to avoid any confusion, note that implants do not include crowns and bridges that are inserted later on top; you will be charged for them separately. Dental clinics, however, tend to offer discounts if more implants are inserted, which means the more teeth you have replaced, the less you have to pay. The location of the implants also has an effect on your dental bill: you can expect a higher price for implants that are inserted into the upper jaw than those placed into the lower jaw.
Other factors that may have an impact on the costs
Another consideration is the total duration of the treatment. Your prosthodontist may choose either a two-stage placement or a one-stage immediate loading, depending on the number of teeth to be replaced and whether crowns or bridges are to be used. These all influence your expenses. As an alternative to dental implants, some clinics offer mini dental implants, which are usually used to replace missing smaller teeth and to provide support for dentures. You may want to discuss this option with your dentist, as choosing this alternative often means considerable savings.
By choosing a BeautyHungary clinic to receive dental implant treatment in, you have already saved at least 50 per cent, even if you add your travelling and staying expenses. To illustrate this point, while in the United Kingdom you could expect to pay £2,000 for a single implant without a crown, in Hungary, for example, you will be charged £665 for that very same implant.
