Boat tour on the Danube

Budapest is known as the “Queen of the Danube”. The city is rich in historical and cultural heritage and natural beauty as well. During this one hour boat tour you can see most of the tourist attractions of one of the most beautiful and delightful capitol cities in Europe. The River Danube separates Budapest into two parts, Buda, the peaceful hilly side of the city and Pest which is bustling, full with cultural and nightlife opportunities.
From the river you can enjoy the sight of the Castle District with the Royal Palace, Fishermen Bastion and Matthias Church, which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Europe largest Parliament is also situated on the river bank. The boat goes up until the relaxing Margaret Island, which is very popular by the locals. Budapest city tour by bus
Duration: 3 hours
The 3 hour city tour is a great opportunity to know Budapest, one of the most beautiful historical capital cities in Europe. During the tour you will see the Parliament, symbol of Budapest, the Margaret Island and one of the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Castle District, where the bus stops at first. You are able to visit there the Fishermen Bastion from where you get a nice view of the river Danube and the beautiful Chain Bridge. The 700 year old gothic Matthias Church, with its colourful tiled roof is also found in the Castle District, just beside the Fishermen Bastion.
After a short photo stop at the Gellért Hill, the bus drives to the City Park to the famous Heroes Square, with the statues of kings, governors and famous characters of the Hungarian history. The square is one of the most visited sights of the city. The Millennial Monument, the Art Gallery and the Museum of Fine arts can also be found there. At the end of the city tour, the bus passes by the Opera House and Saint Stephen's Basilica.

Parliament Tour

Europe's largest Parliament became one of the most widely known symbols of Budapest. At the time of building (1885-1902) it was considered the largest parliamentary building in the world. House of Parliament is the place of the Holy Hungarian Crown. You can take the possibility to visit Hungary's biggest building inside with a guide walking through the splendid session room, corridors and the marvellously decorated staircase hall. The unique building stretches 268 meters in its length along the River Danube and gives a beautiful character for the city. It’s noticeable in the neo-gothic style with some renaissance and baroque influences as well. The design was inspired by the Palace of Westminster.

The Jewish Synagogue
Duration: 3 hours
The Jewish Budapest tour includes the visit to the Jewish Synagogue in Dohány Street, the second largest synagogue of the world, the Jewish cemetery and an interior visit to the Jewish Museum. The Moorish style Synagogue with Byzantine influence was built in 1854-1859 by the Jewish community of Pest. The capacity of the building is nearly 3000 seats, which makes it the biggest after the New York’s Temple Emanu-El.
The Synagogue has fantastic acoustics suitable for great concerts all year long. The Jewish Museum got place in its courtyard and has a unique Judaic collection of art pieces from Hungary and Eastern Europe. Thousands were buried in the Jewish Cemetery, where visitors can have a look of the Holocaust Memorial, the so-called Tree of Life as well. The tour ends at the orthodox centre where you have the opportunity for a lunch in a kosher restaurant and visit of the orthodox temple.

Spas and mineral waters
Hungary was always well-known for its spas and mineral waters. The country has a long history of bathing culture, the first thermal baths were built during the Roman Times. The bath culture flourished during the Turkish occupation in the 16th century. Several bathhouses from these ages are still operating today. These spas are wonderful architectural relics of the Turkish period. In the „golden ages” of Budapest several fabulous baths were built. It shows that Hungary has been a popular a health and therapy destination for a long time. Bathing was the forefather of the today's so called medical tourism.

Artist's Village – Szentendre

Situated by the Danube River, Szentendre is the most visited town in Hungary. As it is easily reachable from Budapest it is an ideal one day program for visitors. You can enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere with its restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. This picturesque little town with its 18th century townscape has lots of churches, small winding streets with preserved houses.
At the turn of the century the town was rediscovered by artists, who came here to find inspiration. The tour takes you for a visit to Jewellery Museum, includes a coffee at the Marzipan Museum and a walk through the baroque centre of the town. Return by boat to Budapest.

Hungarian Folklore Show

In Hungarian villages people still use and preserve the customs in their original forms. The most famous Hungarian folk ensembles present is the Hungarian Folklore Show. They often give performances all over the world as well. The performance is based on authentic dances. The songs and dances were collected in isolated villages and date back hundreds of years. Through the show you can gain insight into the folk music, dance and costume heritage of the Hungarians.
